Can I become a photojournalist after 12th?
Yes. After 10+2 in any stream you can join the diploma. No prior experience is needed, only interest and commitment.
What is taught in the photojournalism specialisation?
Field reporting, documentary and street, portrait and people, the photo story, plus videojournalism, editing and ethics.
Does it cover video, or only stills?
Both. Photojournalism stills and videojournalism, interviews, live reporting and documentary editing.
Do students do real field assignments?
Yes. Field assignments and study tours run across India, festivals and ground stories, with international tours as part of the year.
Will AI replace photojournalists?
No. AI is becoming a tool in the workflow. You learn AI-supported culling, cleanup and edit alongside real reporting and ethics, so you stay ahead of it.
Can students from outside Kerala join?
Yes. Students join from across India. Classes run in English, Hindi and Malayalam, and the campus is fully residential.
