The short version, in plain language

The full terms below are the ones that legally apply. This strip is a summary only, written so nothing important is hidden inside dense paragraphs.

Admissions

An enquiry is not a seat

A form, a call or a registration payment does not confirm admission. A seat is confirmed only by a written admission letter from the academy.

Outcomes

We do not promise a job

Placement support is real and active, but no salary, job or client outcome is guaranteed. Results depend on your work, portfolio and effort.

If you fall ill

Your seat is held for three years

There is no refund, but a medical certificate and the Director’s approval hold your place for three years from joining, at the fee you originally paid.

Your work

Students keep their copyright

You own what you shoot. We ask for a licence to show selected work in our portfolio, films, press and teaching material, with credit.

This site

Everything here is copyright

Photographs, films, course structure, text and design on this site belong to us or our students. Do not copy or republish them without written permission.

Part A, terms of use

01

Who operates this website

creativehut.org is owned and operated by Creative Hut Education Pvt Ltd, which runs Creative Hut Academy, a residential photography, cinematography and AI filmmaking academy at Mattakkara, Kottayam, Kerala, India. It is supported by Alextern Education Pvt Ltd and the National Education And Research Foundation.

In these terms, “we”, “us”, “our” and “the academy” mean Creative Hut Education Pvt Ltd. “You” means anyone who visits, browses, enquires through or otherwise uses this website.

02

Accepting these terms

By using this website, submitting a form, messaging us on WhatsApp or making a payment through a link on this site, you accept these terms in full, together with our privacy and cookies policy. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

If you are using the site on behalf of a parent, guardian, school or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on their behalf.

03

Who may use this site

This site is intended for people aged 16 and above. Applicants below 18 must have a parent or guardian read these terms, complete the enquiry and sign every admission and payment document. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

04

Enquiries, applications and admission

Submitting an enquiry form, booking a campus visit, attending an interview or paying a registration amount does not create a seat, an offer or any obligation on the academy to admit you.

Admission is confirmed only when the academy issues a written admission confirmation naming you, the programme and the batch. Seats are limited to 30 students per batch and are allotted at the academy’s discretion, based on interview, portfolio, aptitude and residential suitability.

A registration payment is a processing and seat hold payment. It is not tuition, and by itself it is not admission.

05

Fees, refunds and caution deposit

  • Course fees once paid are non refundable and non transferable.
  • The caution deposit is refundable. It is released along with the final certificate at course completion.
  • Fees are quoted in Indian rupees. Payments are processed by Easebuzz.
  • Fee queries: admissions@creativehut.org, +91 85470 44220.

If you cannot continue for medical reasons

There is no withdrawal option and no mid-course refund. Fees paid remain non refundable and non transferable.

Where a medical condition prevents a student continuing, evidenced by a medical certificate and approved by the Director, the academy holds the student’s place for three years from the date of joining. The student may rejoin a later batch and complete the balance of the programme.

On return:

  • The fee is locked at the rate originally paid. If fees have risen, no additional tuition is payable.
  • The student pays hostel and food charges for the additional months of residence.
  • If fees have reduced, no refund of the difference arises.

This applies to medical reasons only. It does not create any right to a refund of fees already paid.

Why the policy works this way. Each batch is thirty students, taught as one group across a single year. A seat that empties mid-year cannot be refilled, and the fee for that seat is what keeps the studios, equipment and faculty running for the remainder of the year. The academy holds the seat open for three years rather than refund a place it cannot resell.

06

How fees and payments work

Payments made through this site are processed by our payment gateway partner, Easebuzz. We do not store your card, net banking or UPI credentials. Any payment gateway charge, bank charge or currency conversion cost is yours to bear.

Fees shown on the site apply to the batch named on the page. Fee structure, instalment plan, hostel and food charges, caution deposit amount, withdrawal rules and the release of the deposit are set out in the admission agreement issued at the time of admission, and that agreement prevails over any figure or summary on this website.

  • Registration and application amounts are non refundable unless stated otherwise in writing.
  • Course fees are non refundable and non transferable once paid.
  • The caution deposit is refunded at course completion, after any recovery for equipment lost or damaged by the student as set out in the campus rules.

07

Course information and changes

We work hard to keep programme structure, module lists, faculty names, equipment, workshop details and dates accurate at the time of publication. Visual media moves quickly, and so does the technology we teach.

We may revise the curriculum, replace software or hardware, change visiting faculty, reschedule workshops and shoots, or alter batch start dates where it is necessary for teaching quality, safety or reasons outside our control. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund unless the admission agreement says so.

08

Intellectual property on this site

All content on this website, including photographs, films, showreels, music, course structures, syllabus documents, written copy, graphics, page design, code and the Creative Hut name and marks, is owned by us, by our students or by our licensors, and is protected by Indian and international copyright law.

You may view the site, and print or download extracts for your own non commercial reference. You may not republish, sell, licence, scrape, re upload to another site or social account, or train a machine learning model on any part of it without our written permission.

09

Student work, photographs and film credits

Students retain copyright in the photographs and films they create. By joining a programme, a student grants the academy a perpetual, worldwide, royalty free licence to use selected work, along with their name, image, voice and testimonial, in our portfolio, website, films, showreels, exhibitions, press coverage, social media, prospectus and teaching material.

Work produced as part of an academy production, including collaborative films such as Rising Embers, is credited to the production and to the contributing students as set out in the production credit list.

If you are an alumnus and want a specific image or credit removed, write to us and we will review the request.

10

What you may not do here

You agree not to use this website in any way that is unlawful, harmful or damaging to the academy, its students or its staff. In particular, you may not:

  • submit false, misleading or someone else’s personal details in a form;
  • scrape, harvest or bulk download content, images or contact details;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any account;
  • introduce malicious code, or interfere with the operation or security of the site;
  • use our name, marks, photographs or student work to imply an association, partnership or endorsement that does not exist.

11

Links to other websites

This site links to third party websites and services, including our payment partner, streaming platforms carrying our music and films, brand partners, press publications and social media. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their availability or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

12

Forms, email and WhatsApp

When you send an enquiry through a form, email us or message our admissions or production numbers, you consent to us contacting you by phone, email, SMS and WhatsApp about your enquiry, admission, campus visit and related academy updates. You can ask us to stop at any time and we will act on that request.

How we store and use that information is set out in our privacy and cookies policy.

13

Availability of the site

We do not guarantee that this website will be available without interruption, or that it will be free of errors, delays or defects. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or any part of the site for maintenance or for business reasons, without notice.

Part B, disclaimers

14

Course outcomes and placement

The academy provides placement support, industry introductions, portfolio review and career guidance. It does not guarantee employment, an internship, a client, a freelance income or any particular salary to any student.

Alumni outcomes, salary figures, career paths and studio names shown anywhere on this site are examples of what past students have achieved. They are not a forecast, a promise or a representation of what you will earn or achieve. Results depend on your own skill, portfolio, effort, location and the market at the time.

15

Awards, records and recognition claims

World record claims, awards, certifications and affiliations shown on this site are stated as recognised by the awarding or certifying body at the time of the award, and are held by the academy, its founder, its faculty or its students as credited on the relevant page.

Record and award status can be superseded by later claims recognised by the same or another body. Brand affiliations, trainer roles and partner names are used with permission and do not imply that the brand endorses every statement on this website.

16

AI generated work

Parts of the work shown on this site, including sequences of our productions, are created with generative AI tools as part of teaching and producing AI filmmaking. Where a work is AI assisted, we say so on the relevant page.

AI tools change and their terms, pricing and availability change with them. We teach the current professional pipeline and we do not warrant that any specific tool, model or feature demonstrated during a programme will remain available, free or unchanged.

17

Press, editorial and third party content

Press clippings, articles, reviews, logos and quotations reproduced on this site remain the property of their publishers and are shown for reference and archival purposes, with attribution. Opinions expressed in them are the publisher’s, not ours.

If you are a rights holder and want an item removed, write to us and we will act promptly.

18

Fees, dates and batch information

Fees, instalments, batch dates, seat availability, hostel charges and workshop schedules shown on this site are indicative and may change without notice. Always confirm the current position with the admissions team before you make a decision or a payment.

19

No professional advice

Articles, career guides, salary guides, equipment recommendations and industry outlooks published on this site are general educational information, not career, financial, legal or investment advice. Take your own advice before acting on anything you read here.

21

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify the academy against any claim, loss, damage or cost arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site, or your unauthorised use of content belonging to us, our students or our licensors.

22

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page, with the date shown at the top, is the version in force. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
