Common questions

Still weighing it up?

The questions people ask most when they are choosing between the two diplomas. If yours is not here, message us and a counsellor will answer it.
What is the difference between the two diplomas?
PDAP is the complete photography and cinematography craft, camera to colour grade, with AI woven through planning and post. PDAC is new-age filmmaking built around AI, from image and video generation to sound and the full edit. Same one residential year, different centre of gravity.
Which one should I choose if I am not sure?
Pick PDAP if you want to master the camera and the traditional craft first. Pick PDAC if you want to direct films with AI tools at the core. If you are still torn, message us and a counsellor, not a bot, will talk it through with you.
Do both diplomas include AI?
Yes, AI is part of both. PDAP uses it responsibly across planning and post while you learn the classical craft. PDAC puts AI at the centre of the filmmaking process itself.
Do I need a background in photography or film?
No. Both diplomas start from the ground up and are built for complete beginners as well as those with some experience. What matters is that you are ready to shoot, edit and review real work every day.
What is a specialisation, and when do I pick one?
Every PDAP student chooses a genre to go deep in, wildlife, fashion, travel, architecture and more, and builds a focused portfolio and film in it. You choose it during the year once you have found your direction.
Is the programme fully residential, and where?
Yes, it is a fully residential Gurukul on our campus in Mattakkara, Kottayam, Kerala. Students and faculty share the campus through the year, with reviews and shoots day and night.
What languages are classes taught in?
Classes are run in English, Hindi and Malayalam, and students join from across India.
What will I graduate with?
A market-ready body of work, not just a certificate. PDAP students leave with a portfolio and a documentary film. PDAC students leave with a complete AI-assisted film workflow and finished work.
