The idea

A board that teaches photography as you play

Fos Paixete turns the craft of photography into a game anyone can learn by. It was designed to make photography approachable, informative and fun, for a photographer or a complete beginner, and to bring people back to playing together.

A player moves across a board of boxes, each carrying famous photographers, cameras and lenses, guided by a roll of the dice. The goal is to gather enough to buy the most expensive camera, and the first to do it wins. A smaller, playable version lives at the campus.

How it works

Five players, one winner

01 · Players

Up to five

Four race to win, a fifth runs the game as the controller.

02 · The board

Roll and move

Standees cross boxes of photographers, cameras and lenses on the roll of a dice.

03 · The rules

Play it wisely

Cards and boxes set the play. Go bankrupt and you are out, unless your gear keeps you in.

04 · The goal

Buy the camera

Gather enough to buy the most expensive camera. First to do it wins.

The makers

Fourteen makers, two gurus

Researched and built over two months at Creative Hut, guided by their gurus Abin Alex and Anu Joseph. Two faculty and twelve students who made a world first while still learning.
